A LETTER TO YOU

Hi, we are Ryan and April. Thank you for choosing to read our profile. Family is everything to us and we are overjoyed at the possibility of adding to ours through adoption.

As we sit here and think about where you might be or what you might be doing, we hope and pray that you are feeling at peace. The selfless sacrifice that you are making for your child and the outlook on life that it takes to turn a trial into a positive and beautiful outcome is one that deserves the utmost respect.

If you decide that we are the right family for you, you can be assured that respect will always be shown to you in our household. Your child will always know of your love for them and what a great sacrifice you made for them. You are prayed for and loved in our home and the homes of our closest family and friends as well.

If any questions come up as you scroll through our lives, don’t hesitate to contact us. We want you to feel comfortable and at peace with the decisions ahead of you.

With love,

Our Family

OUR STORY

We met in August 2012 at a college party. We happened to live in the same building and really hit it off! On our first date, we went on a hike, had a picnic and stopped to watch a little league football game. Our connection was pretty instant and we have been inseparable ever since. We were engaged in early 2013 and married that June, having only spent a total of eight days apart since the day we met.

After we graduated college in 2014, we bought a home with the hopes of raising a family. In 2015, after an extremely difficult pregnancy, that dream came true when we welcomed our sweet little miracle, Tytan, into the world. Now, as we look towards the future, we hope to open our hearts and our home to another child through adoption.

ABOUT RYAN

There are so many wonderful things that I could tell you about Ryan. He is super fun, very loving and has a great work ethic. Ryan is a configuration manager at a company that makes x-ray tubes and is currently finishing up his degree in computer science, which will make him a software engineer. It is important to us that we are an example of hard work for our children and Ryan does this very well.

Ryan is the epitome of a fun dad, which is one of my favorite things about him. Tytan always loves when Daddy comes home from work and typically greets him with silly string, Nerf bullets, or a carefully planned idea of how we will spend our evening. I love watching Ryan teach Tytan to play sports, which we really enjoy in our family. We look forward to watching the Saints game together each week and have our own Fantasy Football league with our family and friends.

Ryan is our rock, he keeps our family from stressing and helps us keep life fun. He never takes himself too seriously and we love that about him. Both Tytan and I are so lucky to have such a wonderful man like Ryan in our lives. He is very excited about the possibility of adding to our family through adoption, and I look forward to seeing the special bond he develops with another child.

ABOUT APRIL

April is the most amazing wife! My favorite thing about her is her heart. She has the biggest heart of anyone I’ve ever met! I tease her when I catch her crying over sad stories she finds on KSL, or when a movie gets to be a little too much for her. April has so much love for her family that she sacrifices everything for us.

When Tytan was born, April chose to become a stay-at-home mom. They have so much fun together, and she does an amazing job making sure he is getting ahead on his education. Tytan has been miles ahead of all his milestones, all because of how hard April works with him. She makes learning fun for him with letter scavenger hunts and science experiments.

April loves to read. Especially, if the book contains a good love story! She also enjoys woodworking in our garage. Most of the furniture in our house has come from April’s hard-working hands. She also loves family activities like family walks, movie nights, park runs, and anything that promotes family fun.

Words cannot describe how incredible April is, both as a mother and as a wife. She truly is one of a kind, and I can’t wait to see her open her heart to another child.

ABOUT TYTAN

Our son, Tytan, is 3-years-old. He is a little bit timid, but when he gets to know you he will talk your ear off. He is a very quick learner and April spends a lot of time with him teaching him his letters and numbers. He loves reading books with his Mommy!

On any given day, Tytan can typically be found with arms full of stuffed animals, all of which are named and adored. He loves playing sports, swimming, and anything to do with trucks, dirt bikes or superheroes. Tytan’s uncles race motocross and he loves to go and watch them race.

He also loves video games with Daddy and taking family trips to the park with his dog, Myka.

Tytan truly is a wonderful little boy. He is a great helper around the house and has a heart of gold. He will be an amazing big brother someday!

OUR FAMILY AND EXTENDED FAMILY

I think if there is one thing that truly defines us it is that family is everything to us. We are very lucky to live very close to family and we have a lot of fun with them on a very regular basis. On a typical weekend, we can be found at Grandma’s house playing games in the yard, sledding, camping, boating, or taking trips with Tytan’s cousins, aunts, and uncles. They are a huge support to us. We always find fun things to do and Tytan is always begging to go there!

Ryan is the youngest of six children, while April is the third child of four. April’s favorite childhood memories took place while she was skiing, wakeboarding, and tubing. Being out on the water is still one of our favorite things to do together! Ryan’s favorite childhood memories consist of playing games with his siblings and reading novels with his mom. It is important to us to create and maintain the same loving relationships that we have with our siblings and parents in our family and home as well.

OUR HOME

We bought our home in November 2014. April always wanted to take on a fixer-upper and we certainly did. April has done an amazing job with our home and we love it. Renovating spaces has now become a hobby for her and she continues to do more spaces with her free time. Our home is always decked out for every season and holiday!

We live at the end of a cul-de-sac, where you will find kids riding their bikes and playing basketball. We really enjoy the company of our neighbors, and we do a BBQ on 24th of July with lots of fireworks. It is always a really good time.

We live about a mile away from April’s parents, which is awesome. We enjoy spending nights hanging out over there talking, eating good food, playing games, and watching the little ones play together. Tytan’s cousins are his best friends and he enjoys having play dates with them multiple times a week.

We have an awesome backyard where Tytan can play or chase our dog, Myka, around while we barbeque or play lawn games. While we prefer the summer in the backyard, Ty sure enjoys making snowmen, stomping through the snow, and lighting up our house for Christmas!
